The Soundarya Lahari, loosely translating to “Waves of Beauty” is a masterpiece in praise of the Divine Feminine. The piece is said to be authored by Shiva himself and transcribed by Ganesha, in praise of his consort, Parashakti – the Supreme Power.
These secrets were originally provided to Adi Shankaracharya. Through a twist of fate, the Shankaracharya himself contributed a section to the hymn. The lore as to why he wrote a portion is varied but suffice to say, a portion of the original text was lost, requiring him to complete it.

The Soundarya Lahari is an incredibly powerful script. Each verse and couplet is known to have tremendous mantra-shakti.
Interestingly, for a stotra of this size, there is no Phala-sruti – the part of the prayer which describes its attributes and benefits. Instead, one is to take it as an act of pure devotion. In fact, this is actually the key to unlocking its benefits. Once you worship the Divine Feminine in Supreme form, the more pointed questions are: what will you NOT receive and be unable to perform after accessing such a powerful force? The answer is of course: nothing!
The Mantra for Attracting a Partner
Here is the verse to hasten marriage; it allows you to attract a husband or wife.

Transliteration:
Verse 5:
“Haris tvam aradhya pranata-jana-saubhagya-jananim
Pura nari bhutva Pura-ripum api ksobham anayat;
Smaro’pi tvam natva rati-nayana-lehyena vapusha
Muninam apyantah prabhavati hi mohaya mahatam.“
(Semi-literal) meaning:
“You who grant all the good things,
To those who bow at your feet,
Was worshipped by the Lord Vishnu,
Who took the pretty lovable feminine form,
And could move the mind of he who burnt the cities,
And make him fall in love with him.
And the God of love , Manmatha,
Took the form which is like nectar,
Drunk by the eyes by Rathi his wife,
After venerating you,
Was able to create passion ,
Even in the mind of the great Sages.”
Important notes on Procedure
Whilst anyone can chant the Soundarya Lahari, they should approach it the appropriate degree of reverence.
There is a significant level of precision required in both pronunciation and procedure. Ideally one should proceed straight from the shower into the prayer room dressed in freshly washed clothes. Light a lamp, then begin chanting as per usual mantra japa.

How to Attract Women – Part 3: Write Rama Nama Mantra for Marriage!
Are you a worthy suitor for your ideal wife? No? Then Write Rama Nama!
The demands of Youth!
The idea that any boy of age would want the perfect bride is nothing new. It has persisted since the ancient times.
Whilst then, the fad was to pray for a girl like Sita (of the Ramayana Epic) or a boy like Rama, now the youth of today want the Shahrukhs and the Aishwaryas.
We were young once!
I can recall that a humourous retort from the elders in my community to the demands of such perfection is: “Remember who Sita married! Can you claim you are Rama?”. The answer was invariably a humble: “no!”. Who can compare themselves to the great Ramachandra of the epic? The perfect King?
The point of course is that one deserves that (or someone, in this case) which is fitting of one’s own character. One who is perfect, noble and valourous most times has the right to demand similar qualities in the one they marry.
We can but try
So let’s cut to the chase! How does one develop your character to match the demands and ideals of what you want your husband or wife to be? The solution lies in mantra!
Although fashions and indeed “IT girls” change over time, the concept is identical, and so is the solution – writing or chanting Rama Nama. The name of Rama is a powerful combination of the essence of Narayana and Shiva Themselves – click here to read my prior post on the subject.
Invoke a powerful transformation through your own Sankalpa!
The power of Rama is in his perfection – and it can be manifest in anyone! Just write or chant the name of Rama to slowly condition the mind with the ideals of Rama.
I would also suggest an accompanying English mantra that one can say (or think) over and over to help with this transformation:
“Rama, please help me become more like you and build my character;
Rama, please find me my Sita!”
You can use your own words – in whatever language you prefer – to focus your thoughts and sentiment. This, in effect, is what is known as the Sankalpa (intent of your prayer).

Divine intervention in Love
A natural extension of using the Kleem mantra, for those who feel more comfortable with envisioning a more tangible form of the Divine, is to invoke Kamadeva, the God of Love.

Kamadeva = Cupid
Kamadeva is the God of Love mentioned in the Vedas and a son of Brahma, the Divine Creator. He is the husband of Rati, the Goddess of Love. He is most akin to Cupid, of Western mythologies.
Kamadeva is most famously associated with Shiva. In Puranic lore, he was burned to ashes when he disturbed Shiva during meditation. See Wiki link here for more details.
The mantra
This is the most powerful mantra to invoke Kamadeva:
Transliteration:
“Om Kaamadevaaya vidmahe
Pushpabaanaaya dhimahi
Tanno Ananga prachodayaat”
Translation:
“We see the God of Desire
We meditate on the flower-arrowed
May the non-corporeal one inspire us.”
Benefits:
- Spiritual help in attracting a soul mate or life partner
- Greater sensitivity and awareness of others’ emotional needs, appreciation of one’s partner
- A greater awareness of one’s own attractiveness and appearance

The Kleem Mantra
Transliteration:
“Kleem“
(Semi-literal) Translation:
None. Kleem is a Bija mantra.
Purpose:
- Attraction of female company.
- That’s right, it brings girls to your door!
Say what now…?!
I believe some explanation is sorely needed on what is likely to prove a popular topic!
The Kleem mantra is a Bija mantra – ie a primal sound which taps into the very essence of the universe to function as a mantra all in itself. Each Bija mantra typically corresponds to a singular deity. Unsurprisingly, this mantra is the essence of the God of Love, Kamadeva (literal translation) and incidentally the great Avatar of Vishnu, Sri Krishna Himself.
How it works
The Kleem mantra basically aligns your energy/spirit/aura/prana with those of females that already like you. Initially, it will not be able to change the minds of others. However, once mantra siddhi is achieved, it is said that one can attract anything in the universe with the mantra.
How to use it
Just repeat the word. The usual target count is 10,008 – preferably in a single sitting. Given the brevity of the sound, it is not too tough to complete a set within a 2-3 hours.
